Vein Disease Diagnosis

Vein disorders are not always visible; therefore, modern Vein Disease Diagnosis requires diagnostic techniques and tools in determining the cause and severity of the problem.

Depending on the results of your consultation visit, he may recommend additional tests such as diagnostic ultrasound to identify where and how badly your veins are damaged. The ultrasound examination is designed to evaluate the blood flow through your veins in your legs, localizing the problem areas.

Our “Inside-Out” Approach®

During your initial consultation, he will review your history, symptoms, and initial exam to determine the next steps for evaluation.

The next step for evaluation will be an in-depth ultrasound scan with our technologist. This scan helps confirm our treatment strategy to address these refluxing veins. We will also give you an overview of the overall treatment process including endovenous ablation and sclerotherapy. If we find your condition is isolated to the surface veins, a mapping visit is not usually needed and we will discuss treatment options during your consult.
